  • My name is pronounced ‘Jayda’.
  • I’ve been learning English from the age of 11.
  • I have a degree in chemical engineering and I worked as a sales engineer for three years.
  • I also spent a year working in a treehouse hostel.
  • I began my translation career by translating a historical romance.
  • I’m a member of the Society of Authors.
  • I’ve been living and working in the UK since 2009.
  • I received the prestigious Peter Newmark award from Prince Michael for translating an extract from an A.S. Byatt story in the Diploma of Translation exam.
  • I have a British husband and we are raising bilingual, bicultural children.
